The market of skin care products in Nepal was dominated by 80% of imported brands with 43 million dollars spent only in imported beauty products in 2021. The reason behind the lack of our own authentic and trusted Nepalese skincare brands is the absence of technical expertise in formulation and development. To sort out this gap, the three passionate friends started their own skincare manufacturing company.
With their level of expertise combined, they felt they could compete with the International brands of skin care by developing a national brand with the highest quality and efficacy and that’s how Nutrasmetic Industries was established and the journey of the Vedica brand began. Drawing from their extensive knowledge and experience, the team developed their own formulations spending countless hours researching and testing the most effective combinations of ingredients. Each product was rigorously tested in a lab to ensure quality, stability, and efficacy and only the finest ingredients were used.
Our founder, Amit Chhetri, a pharmaceutical scientist, having 7 years of experience in the research and development of drugs, has formulated numerous medicine available in today’s Nepalese market. Next, Divya Maharjan, a young microbiologist, has worked in the quality control department of the pharmaceutical industry for years and has done her thesis on an herbal cream formulation having wound healing properties. And, Sanjay Shrestha, a process engineer with an MBA degree, has expertise in process optimization and machinery.
